Our Camps are places where young people can come and celebrate their creativity. |
| |
Camp is a place to come if you want to meet like minded people, and to work intensively in a safe and secure environment with professional artists. We don't pick up scripts and rehearse. We create spaces to play in, & improvise together to transform the experiences of the camp into performance. |
| |
Everyone who comes on one of our camps is promised a unique experience. We seek out unusual and exciting
places to work, and in 2010 this will be at Ufton Court, an inspirational Tudor Manor House set in 25 acres of private grounds near Reading, West Berkshire. |

| |
In 2010 we are running two camps. Week one is for 15-21 year olds and week two is for young people aged 11-15. These are only guidelines, & we always make sure that young people attend the week that will most benefit them. |
| |
| We get a good spread of ages coming to work with us, and we believe that working with a diverse age range helps build the family atmosphere we actively promote during our camps. |
| There is no formal selection process for our Camps, and anyone is welcome to attend. The only requirement is that you are passionate about thinking & performance. We also encourage you to find out what it is like to work with THRIFT by putting you in contact with young people who have worked with us before. We find that this is the best way of discovering if camp is somewhere that you want to come and experience for yourself. Even though we do not currently receive any funding, we invest our own money in a bursary scheme to allow people who might not be able to attend, afford the course fee. |
| Our camps are always sold out and we would encourage anyone who would like to come to apply as soon as possible. |
