" I have been made to feel so welcome and had an AWESOME time."

Participant 2007

After a total sell out in 2007, being chosen as the best camp for creative kids by Sainsbury's Magazine AND being featured on BBC 1's 'Do something different', 2008 has a lot to live up to! We return to Ufton Court for another amazing week!

Camp is place to come if you want to have fun, meet like minded people, and to work intensively in a safe and secure environment with professional artists from the world of Theatre. We don't pick up scripts and rehearse. We create a space to play in, and work together to transform the fantastic experiences we take you through during the week into performance.

We always use things we have found to base our Theatre on; objects, records, memories, overheard, conversations. We will sift through loads of different things, some of which we will ask you to bring, before we work together as a company to transfrom the stories that emerge, into a new piece of Music Theatre. Its hard work, but brilliant fun!

There is no formal selection process for our Camps, and anyone is welcome to attend. The only requirement is that you are passionate about Music Theatre! Even though we do not currently receive any funding, we always try to subsidise places for those people who might not be able to afford the course fee.

Who will l be working with? Director: Tim Godwin & Composer: Nicolas Bloomfield

Accommodation: We will have the exclusive use of the Tudor Manor house. Rooms are in dormitory style and within the beautiful manor house.

Food: All meals will be cooked by our very own THRIFT chef. If you have any special dietary requirements then just let us know on your booking form so that the kitchen can prepare something especially for you!

Chaperones:A welcome return of THRIFT chaperones Jenny & Amy Stothard and a small team of counsellors, all of whom have THRIFT'ed before. All THRIFT staff are CRB checked, fully licensed & insured.
